Hanu Agbodje is the Founder and CEO of Patricia, he was born in Warri, Delta State and he is the second child of two.
He had his primary and secondary education in between Delta State and RIvers State, after which he studied Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Port Harcourt.
Hanu is probably one of the most optimistic people you’ll ever meet, and has been an entrepreneur since the age of 8 and this went through with him till his university days where he had a mini restaurant and also sold popcorn and airtime.
In 2017, his uncle who visited Nigeria, gave him an iTunes gift card. Hanu didn’t have an iPhone, so he tried to find where to change the gift card to real money but there was no local company doing it, so he ended up being scammed of the card.

At that point he figured out there was a problem because a large number of other people could get scammed in a bit to change theirs and this literarily birth “Patricia”.
Patricia has become a leading e-Commerce platform that trades unused iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play gift cards and it is arguably the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.
At just 25, Hanu Agbodje sits atop a multi-billion naira company known as Patricia but registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C) as Patricia Technologies Limited, an e-Commerce company that processed over N10 billion in transaction volume in 2019 alone after having been in the business in just two years.
